On Saturday 1st February the Club competition was a medal round and Kevin Gibbs was first on count back from Ross Ireland both with nett 69, and they were followed by Roy Brider with 72 nett and Kevin Jury with nett 74.
Sundays round was a Stableford competition and again the scoring was good. In group 1 Graeme Dick lead a left handers takeover and was first with 44 points. He was well clear of Wayne Evans and Laurence Butler both with 38 points and Ray Cocks was next with 35 points. In group 2 Mike King nudged Mike Gaston on count back both having 44 points. Frankie Martin was 3rd with 42 points followed by Denis Hutchby with 40 points. Holes in two were scored by Kevin Gibbs and Graeme Dick.
On Tuesday the Vet’s also played a Stableford round and in the men’s division Kevin May was first with 45 points from Ken Downing with 42 points and Roy Brider on 39 points. For the Ladies Michelle Coley and Nan McNae were tied at the top with 33 points. Nearest the pins went to Nan McNae and Michelle Coley, and holes in two were scored by Nan McNae, Michelle Coley, Ken Downing and Roy Brider.
This Thursday is Waitangi Day and opening day for the club with tee off at 11am. The Club completion is a Stableford round alternating off the white, yellow & green tees. Next Saturday the competition is a medal round and on Sunday it is a Par round.
