Saturdays club competition was a Stableford round and leading the pack was Neville Biel with 41 points and he was well clear of Phil Granich with 37 points. Next was Chris Wenden with 36 points and Rod Dravitzki with 35. Stu Northe got a hole in two and Neville Biel scored two of them. Nearest the pins went to Shane Hawkins, Sharon harper. Eddie Tuuta, Stu Northe and Neville Biel.
Sunday was a Medal round and first with a nett 63 was Ian Grant, followed by Laurence Butler with nett 67 and Ray Cocks with a nett 68. Ray Cocks scored the only hole in two.
On Tuesday the vets played a Stableford competition and in the men's division first was Eddie Tuuta with 40 points and he was well clear of Doug Simpson, Peter Campbell & Meki Lauvi all with 33 points. In the ladies division first was Maria Lauvi with 34 points, followed by Nan McNae on 33 points and Janet Shaw and Nolene Stevenson both had 30 points. For the nine holer's Irene Phelps had 17 points followed by Blair Harvey with 13 points. Nearest the pins went to Nolene Stevenson, Maria Lauvi, Terry Tacon and Ross Ireland.
This weekend sees the annual WBS Mahunga Easter tournament played on Saturday and Sunday with the competition Gross & Nett in handicap groups. There are some great prizes up for grabs with well over $5,000 in prizes and the forecast for both days is fine and sunny. So make up your four and get your entries into the club.
