Saturdays Club competition was a Medal round and in group 1 first was Stu Northe with a nett 71followed by Ivan Karaitiana and Rod Dravitzki on nett 73. In group 2 first was Alan Biel with nett 70 followed by Graham Duckett and Ken Downing who also had nett 73. Ivan Karaitiana had the only hole in two and scooped the vouchers. Nearest to the pins went to Byron Karaitiana, Maurice O'Reilly, Ken Downing, Stu Northe, Damian Kauika and Hiro Maeno.
Sundays competition was a Stableford round and Paul Beech came out on top with 40 points, followed by Laurence Butler with 36 points, Stu Northe on 34 and Paul Haxton with 33 points. Holes in two were scored by Ivan Karaitiana and Stu Northe.
On Tuesday the vets played a Stableford round and in the men's division Ross Ireland had 33 points and headed off Allan Allsworth on 31 points. In the ladie's division Nan McNae was to the fore with 35 points followed by Noeline Stevenson with 33 points. For the 9 holers Peter Campbell had 13 points and next was Cilva Richmond with 9 points. Nan McNae was the only one to claim a nearest the pin and that was on number 3.
This Saturday sees the semi- finals of the Club Championships and the Club competition is a medal and putting round. Sunday' competition is a Stableford round. It also sees the annual match for the Steffert Trophy against Featherston being played at Mahunga. This competition is open to all Mahunga and Featherston members so get there with things kicking off on Sunday at 10am with morning tea and then tee off at 11am.
