Sunday was a Par round and Ray Cocks kept the family name at the top of the leaderboard with 7 up from Kevin Hunter and Laurence Butler on 1 up. On Tuesday the vets played a stableford round and in the men's division Roger Stenton and Peter Campbell shared the honours with 38 points followed by Ross Ireland on 37 points. For the ladies Maria Lauvi had 38 points, with Nan McNae on 32 points and Judith O'Connor on 31 points. Irene Phelps led the way for the 9 holers with 14 points from Daphne Jordan on 11 points. The nearest the pins were a family affair with Maria and Meki Lauvi taking them out, and Ross Ireland scored the only hole in two.
Tuesday night saw the final round of the Apache Jacks Twilight tournament and the winners were One Short from R&R and third were the Bropaki Honey Badgers. This Saturday sees the Café Solway Mahunga Christmas Cheer. It is a Stableford competition with a card draw and a shotgun start at 11.30am, so phone the club to get your entry in or just turn up on Saturday for some great fun and fantastic prizes as usual. Sundays competition is a Bisque Par.
