On Saturday the 6x6x6 mini tournament was held. Mark Logan & Peter Hawkins were the winners with a nett of 62, with Bob Baistow & Terry Adamson second with nett 63, with Chic Reiri & Stephen Reiri third with nett 66.5. Holes in two were scored by Stu Northe & Geoff Ewington.
On Sunday the Club competition was stableford and Jack McGlashan came in fresh after a 6 week layoff and took the money with 41 points, with Steve Blundsen second with 39 points and Mark Logan third with 37 points. Terry Fleet scored the only hole in two.
On Tuesday the Vet’ played a medal round and in the men’s division there was a three way tie for first with Ken Downing, Charles Scanlon and Willie Wichman all tied on nett 60. For the ladies Maria Lauvi had a massive round with nett 59 and was well clear of Michele Coley who was second with nett 70. Nearest the pins went to Maria Lauvi, Ken Downing and Meki Lauvi. Roy Brider scored a hole in two.
This Saturday is the Liquorland American Foursomes Tournament with a shotgun start at 11.00am. Entries are coming in fast but we can still take more on the day at this stage. Entry fee is $20.00 per player. It will be a great tournament with a prize table in excess of $3,000 and a BBQ on the course. On Sunday the Club competition will be a medal round.
Also a reminder that on Saturday 6th November 2021 the Wairarapa 36 Hole Open Men’ Fourball Bestball will be held. Tee off is at 8.00am and entry is $60 per pair including holes in two and there will be gross & net prizes. So get your pairs in by emailing [email protected].
