Saturdays Club competition was a Stableford round and first was Kevin Cooper with 37 points, and he was closely followed by Stu Northe who got 2nd on countback from Roy Brider and Wayne Evans all on 36 points. Zeb Livingston was next with 35 points. Nearest the pins went to Stu Northe, Kevin Cooper, Troy Shaw, Roy Brider and Phil Granich. Kevin Cooper scored the only hole in two
Sundays competition was also a Stableford round and James Jackson was an easy winner with an outstanding 40 points. Byron Karaitiana and Kevin Gibbs were next with 36 points, Terry Fleet had 35 points and Layton Kawana 34 points. Again there was only one hole in two scored by Terry Fleet.
On Tuesday the Vets also played a Stableford round and in the men’s division first was Roy Brider with 34 points, followed by Kevin May with 33 and Meki Lauvi with 30 points. In the ladies division first was Lyn Morrell with 32 points, followed by Michele Coley and Janet Shaw both with 30 points. Nearest the pins went to Roy Brider, Meki Lauvi and Lynn Morrell. Roy Brider scored a hole in two.
This Saturday sees the first round of Club Champs qualifying and the Club competition is a medal round. Sunday’s competition is a Stableford round.
