Some brave souls started on Saturday but 6 holes was the maximum before the wet weather got the better of everyone. Sunday was a lot drier apart from the dumping of hail towards the end of the round. That didn’t deter the scoring in the Bisque Par competition with Mike King first on 6 up and he was closely followed by Stu Northe on 5 up. Rod Dravitzki was 3rd on 4 up and next were Ray Cocks and Laurence Butler both on 3 up.
On Tuesday the Vets played a Par round and in the men’s division first was Roy Brider on 2 up and next was Kevin May and Ross Ireland who were all square. For the ladies Janet Shaw led the way on 2 down and there was daylight to the rest of the ladies with the next best being 5 down. Michelle Coley and Ross Ireland got the nearest to the pins and Nan McNae got a hole in two on number 6.
This Saturday there is Club Champs qualifying on Saturday and the club competition is a Medal round. Due to the weather another round of qualifying for Club Champs has been added this Sunday and the club competition is a Stableford round. Don’t forget to get your entries in for the Ambrose Tournament on Saturday 14th September. It is 3 person Ambrose over 18 holes.
