Saturdays Club competition was a Par round and there was contrasting scoring between the groups. In group 1 Stu Northe led the way on 3 up on countback from Troy Shaw also on 3 up. Kurt Karaitiana was next on 2 up. In group 2 Shane Hawkins was an easy winner on 2 up with Robin Britt and Michelle Coley next on 2 down. Holes in two were scored by Michelle Coley and Rod Dravitzki. Nearest the pins went to Ray Cocks, Ivan Karaitiana, Michelle Coley, Troy Shaw and Rod Dravitzki.
Sundays competition was Stableford and sharing the honours on 38 points were Hiro Maeno and Laurence Butler, followed by Stu Northe on 37 points.
On Tuesday the vets played a Stableford round and in the men's group Meki Lauvi was first with 31 points followed by Blair Harvey on 30 points. In the ladies group it was Maria Lauvi keeping the family name to the fore with 31 points from Nan McNae with 29 points. Nearest the pins went to Nan McNae and Meki Lauvi.
On Sunday the men played the Marquis Shield competition and Mahunga had a good win over Featherston and secured maximum points. They have a one point lead over Eketahuna who they play in the final round on the 25th June, so it will be a case of winner take all.
This weekend sees qualifying on Saturday for the Walker Fourball so make sure you get your partners sorted and play the qualifying round. The club competition on Saturday is a Medal round and on Sunday it is a Stableford round.
