Saturday was the final of the Walker Fourball and Roy Morris Trophy. In the Walker Fourball Ray Cocks & Neville Biel came out the winners 4 and 3 over Shane Hawkins & Bill Ousey after gaining ascendancy on the second nine. The Roy Morris saw Graham Duckett & Shane Stewart the winners over Stu Northe & Carl Cocks after Stewart sunk a 30 foot putt on the 15th to snare the match.
The club competition was a Medal round and first was Ivan Karaitiana with nett 68 which is great golf from a scratch golfer in the wintery conditions we have at the moment. Shane Stewart was next with nett 70 followed by Graham Duckett and Ray Cocks both on net 71. Stu Northe scored the only hole in two and the nearest the pins went to Jeremy Harp, Ivan Karaitiana, Stu Northe and Shane Stewart.
Sunday's competition was a Par round and first on countback was Darryl Coley who was all square and he headed off Hiro Maeno and Ivan Karaitiana who was also all square.
This Saturday sees the Mahunga Halberg Day with all proceeds going to the Halberg Disability Sport Foundation. The competition of the day is a stableford round with tee off at 11am. Bring an item wrapped up to auction off at prizegiving which usually involves a bit of fun when people unwrap their items and see what they have won in the auction. Sundays competition is a Stableford round.
