The Club competition on Saturday was a Bisque Par and the scoring was huge. First on 9 up was Martin Andrew who just nudged out Nolene Stevenson and Bill Ousey who were both on 8 up. Holes in 2 were scored by Brett Sargent and Phil Granich. Nearest the pins went to Paul Beech, Brett Sargent Rod Dravitzki and Michelle Coley.
Sunday saw a medal round and first and finally finding some form was Maurice O'Reilly on a nett 64 and he was well clear of Frankie Martin on 68 nett, followed by Terry Fleet and Paul Haxton with nett 69, and Paul Beech with a nett 70.
On Tuesday the vets travelled to Palmerston North Golf Club for a game of golf and comradery. There was a field of 60 and Nan McNae came second in the field with a huge 45 Stableford points, Meki Lauvi was fifth with 41 points and next best of the Mahunga golfers were Nolene Stevenson and Bevan Heffernan with 38 points. The weather was good and an enjoyable day was had by all.
This weekend sees the Club competition on Saturday an Irish Stableford and on Sunday it is s Stableford round. On Saturday the interclub teams play and the Division 3 team travel away to Miramar while the Division 8 team hosts Kapiti at home. A note to members the Club AGM will be held next Wednesday 15th March in the Club House at 7pm.
