The fine weather over the weekend brought out the golfers and the scoring on both Saturday and Sunday was very competitive. On Saturday the Club competition was a Medal round and first was Graham Duckett with nett 64, followed by Paul Beech with nett 67, Shane Hawkins nett 69 and Jack McGlashan with nett 70. Michelle Coley scored the only hole in two. Nearest the pins went to Anita Karaitiana who got two , Paul Beech, Michelle Coley and Cheycoda Cocks.
Sunday saw a Stableford round played and Paul Beech again featured with 41 points and won on countback from Ian Grant also with 41 points. Kevin May and Martin Andrew were next both with 40 points. Again there was only one hole in two and that was scored by Ray Cocks.
With the weather on Tuesday being good for ducks the Vets had a day off. This weekend sees the next round of matches to be completed in the Dove Trophy and Nicol Cup.
