Saturday saw the semi-finals of the Walker Fourball and the Roy Morris Trophy. There was some great matches with the majority of the matches requiring extra holes to be played. So the final of the Walker Fourball will be played this Saturday with Chris Wenden & Ivan Karaitiana playing Laurence Butler & Paul Haxton. In the Roy Morris Trophy Mike King & James Jackson play Alan Biel & Ken Downing.
The Club Competition on Saturday was a Medal round and in Group 1 first was Graeme Dick with a nett 71 on countback from Chris Wenden also on 71. Ivan Karaitiana was 3rd on nett 72 also on count back from Shane Stewart with Jeremy Harp next on nett 73. In Group 2 Neville Biel had the best round of the day with nett 69 with Laurence Butler 2nd with nett 71 on count back from Alan Biel also on 71. Kevin Gibbs was next with nett 73 and Terry Fleet with nett 74. Holes in two were scored by Jeremy Harp, Paul Haxton, Neville Biel, Laurence Butler, Alan Biel and Kevin Gibbs. Nearest the pins went to Chris Wenden, Kavan Walker, Wayne Evans, Ivan Karaitiana, Rod Dravitzki and Jeremy Harp.
Sundays Club Competition was a Stableford round and in Group 1 first was Terry Fleet with 38 points with Ray Cocks second on count back with 36 points from Ivan Karaitiana also on 36. In Group 2 Frankie Martin slayed it with 42 points and he was well clear of Kavan Walker with 37 points and Ian Grant on 34 points. Holes in two were scored by Ivan Karaitiana.
